From a quick look at Synology Media Server, it seems to me that the most important differences are:ġ) MinimServer allows all tags to be indexed Synology Media Server supports only Album, AlbumArtist, Composer, Genre and Date.Ģ) MinimServer provides Intelligent Browsing Synology Media Server provides customizable multistep browsing trees.Ĭan anyone with more experience of Synology Media Server suggest any other significant advantages of MinimServer? Might use a USB-C to USB-A adapter and a USB-A to USB-C cable. Use the Balena Etcher method above for upgrading.

PDF User Manual (Translated from Chinese) Might as well provide a new thread since there are none. Gustard is announcing their new R2R DAC the R26. I've tried the HQplayer IOS app, not as nice as Jplay visually and feature wise, for playback history and radio mode, but does HQplayer app have all that extra options for tweaking oversampling etc.Īny help appreciated, especially with recommended settings to get the most out of the R26 I'd love to have gapless playback but that's a luxury. My Sparky SBC runs dietpi which has the NAA preinstalled to use with HQplayer. I see an NAA point can to be created using a Rpi and embedded OS software to allow it's outputs - USB on USBridge or I2S on Kali for playback to the R26. Is there a way to keep using the LAN input option of the R26 with HQplayer? Can't see the wood for the trees at the moment, too much input! I do have spare RPi3 B+'s at hand to use and a Allo DigiOne. My question is how would one configure the software and hardware for best effect, I like using the LAN input of the R26 with a controller (Jplay) and music content held on a dedicated Sparky SBC with USB3.0 laptop 2TB HDD running Minimserver, all nicely isolated from router traffic using wifi extender and FMC from switch to R26 LAN. Apparently the Apple M1 Arm CPU can deliver sufficient horsepower for decent upsampling, if not the extremes of oversampling.

I never thought I'd consider this oversampling software but with so many positive things said, I have installed the 30 day trial software onto my MacBook Pro M1. I would like to ask for some advice concerning HQPlayer, I've spent most of today looking through forums and posts from the author.
